Greenerpastures

Dedicated to horses that we've owned and sold, or that have gone on to greener pastures

Indian Miss Dawn

May, 1968 - November, 1998

My first horse.  You never forget your first horse and this one is no exception.  I got Missy at 8 months old, broke her and rode her for almost all of her 30 years.  I trained her and she trained me.  We showed Western and English and later, she taught lots of friends, young and old, to ride.

Empress Stripper (AQHA)

Her sire, CASH STRIPPER, is an AQHA Champion that has a performance ROM.  He earned 23 performance points in Hunter Hack, Hunter Under Saddle, and Western Pleasure.  He has 18 Halter points.  Her dam, GOLD EMPRESS, was shown 33 times at Halter and placed 1st 32 times!  EMPRESS was shown lightly as a 2 and 3 year old, and then retired due to injury.  Her Appaloosa foals since I have owned her are J DEES FINALE and CASH ME IF YOU CAN (World Qualifier in Yearling Fillies).

Surprise Texas Dude

March, 1991 - April, 1996

He, along with Macho and Missy have been the loves of my life.  This horse was fun, willing, a great ride and a great friend.  He qualified for the World in Hunter Under Saddle and was a full brother to SURPRISE SUNNY.

I Love Willie Filly

April, 2000 - August, 2000

Isn't she a sweetie?  This was TEENA's 2000 baby and special from the day she was born.  Unfortunately, she broke her leg in a freak accident at the stud farm while her dam was being bred.  Dr. Cliff Honnis at Texas A & M tried in vain to save her and she was humanely put down in August, 2000.

A 1998 gelding by Reserve World Champion GINN DANDY (Suitability For Dressage) out of EMPRESS STRIPPER.  What balance!  This horse is pretty is as pretty does.  He's nice to look at and nice to ride.  Sold recently as a roping horse, he is also being shown in Halter by his new owner's six-year old son!

The Nemesis

A 1988 son of SKIP'S IMAGINATION.  "Nem" won the World in 1991 in Suitability For Dressage Stallions, and then had limited showing under saddle before retiring to stud.  He is an easy horse to be around and a very well-behaved stallion.

This 1997 mare by SKIP'S REWARD, out of IMPRESSIVE DANDY B, has her mother's build, and what a build!  She has been shown on a limited basis in Halter and will probably be shown under saddle this spring by her new owner.
